Richard Herriott - PianoPianist Richard Herriott will perform a set of variations on a player-roll theme/melody played on a 'Player-piano'. In addition to his improvisation, Canadian composers, as well as student composers, will be invited through the Canadian Music Centre and music faculties, to compose short variations, which will be included in the performance. Some variations may be played as duos with the 'Player-piano'.
Composers may choose to create original compositions for player-rolls, availing themselves of the possibility of producing sound effects which are not obtainable by a pianist in live performance.
